Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on cloud - based data engineering
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Platforms and related services like S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, etc.
- Must come from a Java or Scala background
- Proficiency in Python scripting
- Expertise in data integration and ETL tools (Apache Spark, DBT or cloud-native solutions)
- Data warehousing concepts and technologies like RedShift, Snowflake or Synapse Analytics
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance and data quality principles
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database systems and data querying optimization techniques
- Financial industry experience required Fixed income/asset management preferred
Plusses:
- Hadoop or other big data platforms
- Good exposure to containers (ECS or Docker)
- Jira, SAFe or Confluence
- Direct exposure to supporting multiple business units for foundational data work and sound understanding of capital markets within fixed income
