The Data Quality Senior Analyst supports the program by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of crime data. This role focuses on data quality analysis, quality assurance, business rules validation, documentation, and methodological review to ensure data is defensible, compliant, and suitable for public release., * Perform data quality analysis on incoming data to ensure accuracy, completeness, reliability, and publishability.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of data products, releases, special reports, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze business rules, methodologies, and technical specifications to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Review and reconcile data across systems to identify inconsistencies, submission errors, and systemic data quality issues.
- Evaluate the impact of legislative, policy, and business rule changes on historical and current data and recommend best practices for data rollups.
- Support the development, validation, and documentation of estimation methodologies used when reporting thresholds are not met.
- Analyze historical and current data to ensure continuity and accuracy across reporting years and evolving definitions.
- Identify and document "perceived wrongs" where data may be correct but appears incorrect or biased to stakeholders or the public.
- Assess the quality and interoperability of data submitted from diverse Records Management Systems (RMS) and identify RMS-related data trends.
- Develop, update, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Desktop Procedures for program processes.
- Review and support certification and recertification activities through data validation and quality checks.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to validate analytical outputs and Power BI dashboards from a data quality perspective
- Provide written analysis and recommendations to leadership to support policy decisions, data releases, and continuous process improvement.
Skills and attributes for success
- Analyzing data sets to identify trends, insights and anomalies
- Help our clients make data-driven decisions by working with structured and unstructured data sets, building out predictive models and advising our clients on data mining leading practices
- Building and applying data analysis algorithms (data mining, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, sentiment analysis, text mining, etc.) as appropriate
- Refresh and update Power BI dashboards
- Clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and opportunities to improve data systems and solutions
- Demonstrating deep understanding of and ability to teach data science, concepts, tools, features, functions, and benefits of different approaches to apply them
- Seeking out information to learn about emerging methodologies and technologies
- Looking for opportunities for improving methods and outcomes
- Applying data driven approach in trying technology solutions to specific business outcomes

Requirements
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance and able to maintain
- Must have atl least Bachelor's degree
- Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Must be comfortable working on-site 5-days a week in Clarksburg, WV
Ideally, you'll also have
- Bachelor's Degree or above in mathematics, information systems, statistics, computer science, or related disciplines
- Communication is essential, must be able to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights
- Experience communicating issues, status and thought leadership to partners and clients
- Developing people through effective leadership, coaching, mentoring and performance assessment of all levels of staff
Due to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel 20 - 30% or more.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $106,200 to $194,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $127,400 to $221,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
