Job description
- Manage the day-to-day Broadcom VMWare administration tasks, VM server builds, upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Manage the day-to-day Cisco UCS administration tasks, physical server builds, upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Manage the day-to-day SAN technologies administration tasks, provisioning, upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Manage the day-to-day backup and replication administration tasks, backup job reviews, upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Manage the day-to-day systems operations (troubleshooting, performance, configuration, maintenance, and patching)
- PowerShell on an intermediate to expert level for various job level tasks.
- Ensure that records of systems and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
- Participate in projects to implement applications to the server infrastructure in support of a business need or a business solution to ensure operational reliability.
- Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of critical system resources.
- Develop and coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations.
- Participate in planning and implementation of projects for system operations and systems administration.
- Plan, organize and document complex system design activities and configure systems to be consistent with policies/procedures.
- Interface with peers, and managers to evaluate and understand business needs.
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of security related incidents.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS) Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline. Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years relevant systems administrator experience, including data center experience, complex physical and virtual systems design (on-premises, cloud is not a requirement), scripting, and systems software and support. Must have experience in the design, planning, and implementation of reliable enterprise level systems.
Additional experience must include:
- VMware ESXi, 7.x, 8.x, VCF 9.x
- Cisco UCS / UCS-X Series
- SAN Technologies (Nimble, Pure Storage, etc.)
- Cisco MDS switching technologies
- Backup, Recovery, and Replication Technologies (Veeam, Zerto, Exagrid, etc.)
- Datacenter Knowledge/Experience, Rack and Stack Storage, Servers, and Equipment
- Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025
- Windows File Server Management, SMB, CIFS
- Active Directory, DFS, DFS-R, DNS, DHCP, GPO s, PKI, etc.
- Monitoring and Management Technologies, WUG, SCOM, VeeamOne
- PowerShell Scripting
- Security Best Practices
- Windows OS patching and remediation
- DR / BCP methodologies
Additional/Preferred:
- VMware NSX (system segmentation / micro-segmentation)
- Microsoft Azure Technologies
- Basic understanding Linux operating systems. (Red Hat, RH OpenShift, Oracle Linux)
