Job description

This position will execute and maintain master data policies, collect and protect agreed master data standards, and promote a need for fit-for-purpose master data to support business processes. Partner with IT on system enhancements; provide requirements and testing support for master data process improvements. The position is to ensure high-quality master data and to advance the use of master data critical to SAP, acting as the primary operational point of contact for master data requests and issue resolution to stakeholders. Additionally, you'll address challenges in master data management and governance, set up a governance model with appropriate business accountabilities, and utilize innovative technologies to streamline master data processes. This role will also assist the FP&A team with management reporting for domestic and global leadership. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy., * Managing daily data maintenance to uphold and continuously improve data quality and processes. Also ensure all tickets are answered in accordance with service level requirements.

  • Lead Master Data governance initiatives. Support governance activities by maintaining documentation, workflows and controls; escalate exceptions to governance owners. Work closely with business leaders and data stewards to communicate standards and process updates to internal user; ensure understanding and compliance. Act as the interface with IT, supply chain, vendor management, finance and Internal Control for the digital roadmap of SAP master data management, optimizing integration tools to improve data entry and maintenance.
  • Performance management & continuous improvement. Drive continuous improvements in data management processes, systems, and technologies. Measure and report on MDM performance, ensuring that the MDM strategy delivers tangible results in terms of data quality, operational efficiency, and user adoption
  • Stakeholder engagement & change management. Provide change communication and training materials for master data user to ensure MDM is clearly understood and embraced across the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop data governance policies and frameworks, and maintain data governance structures.
  • Training & enablement. Develop and coordinate training programs to onboard new users and upskill existing teams on MDM practices, tools, and processes.
  • Collaboration with business process owners. Work closely with business process owners and functional teams to ensure MDM processes are aligned with business operations and that data supports decision-making at all levels.
  • undefined FP&A responsibility to assist the FP&A team in the development and execution of financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis. Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. This individual would work with the cross-functional FP&A team to achieve these tasks.

Requirements

  • Experience support with building MDM functions: 5+ years of relevant experience in master data operations, data quality and relevant FP&A reporting. Experience supporting governance processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of data management & governance: Experience in data governance, data integration, and best practices for managing master data across enterprise systems, in particular SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Prior FP&A Reporting Experience required (3+ Years).
  • Project management & change management skills: Background in managing projects and change initiatives with an understanding of the methodologies and tools required to drive successful outcomes. Ability to translate complex data driven issues into tangible solutions that can be accepted and supported by all stakeholders.
  • System analysis & technical expertise: Work with system design, data architecture, and the technical aspects of data management with a clear understanding of database design, data modeling, and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA and its transaction control tables). Regularly partner with IT teams in implementing practices and leveraging existing governance tools

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent level of experience in a data analysis/administration, data quality, data governance, or related field.

Minimum $121,103.00 - Maximum $181,125.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired in the role to perform in the United States.
