- Provide first-line technical support for IT hardware, software, and network issues across office and production floor environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with specialized manufacturing equipment, including industrial PCs, barcode scanners, and label printers.
- Manage help desk tickets from creation to resolution, ensuring timely and effective support for all end-users.
- Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of new workstations, peripherals, and software for employees.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system checks on IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with higher-tier support and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and asset inventory.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in an IT Help Desk or technical support role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi).
- Familiarity with manufacturing-specific software (e.g., ERP, MES) and industrial hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, PLCs).
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and manufacturing peripherals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with an understanding of urgency in a production environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with ERP, MES, or SCADA systems common in manufacturing.
- Experience supporting industrial hardware such as barcode scanners, label printers, or ruggedized devices.
- Basic understanding of Operational Technology (OT) or industrial networking concepts.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
