The Finance (Anaplan) IT Program/Project Manager Consultant role is a hands-on, technically proficient individual contributor position responsible for end-to-end program ownership, including planning, scheduling, and tracking the execution of an Anaplan implementation supporting Finance and Indirect Procurement. Reporting to the Lead, Corporate Systems, this role enables program and project delivery for the full Anaplan implementation lifecycle, including strategic system planning and managing project execution while working cross-functionally with functional teams, enterprise architects, security, vendor implementation partners, and auditors. Beyond strong program execution, the role is expected to actively support and guide business activities throughout the project lifecycle, including solution design decisions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), change management, and data migration efforts. The ideal candidate brings a Finance domain background (FP&A, Close, Reporting) combined with deep program and project management expertise, enabling them to guide business stakeholders on process design, operational decisions, and required business activities-while ensuring disciplined delivery, risk management, and compliance., * Serve as the program and project manager for Finance and Indirect Procurement systems focused on Anaplan implementation, along with support for SAP S4/HANA, SAP Ariba, and other industry-leading tools.
- Drive and support business-led activities during projects, including process and design decisions, UAT planning and execution, change management, and data migration activities to ensure business readiness and adoption.
- Lead end-to-end program and project management activities-from planning, execution, tracking, collaboration, and status reporting to delivering successful technology implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business, vendor, and IT stakeholders to execute strategic system solutions in a fast-paced agile delivery model.
- Facilitate integrations between Finance systems and third-party or internal applications such as SAP and AD, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain required project governance artifacts, approvals, reports, and presentations necessary for successful project delivery through go-live.
- Support SOX, GxP, and audit-related activities by maintaining documentation and ensuring compliance with system processes.
- Prepare and deliver periodic project status reports to IT and business stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, key decisions, and next steps.
Requirements
KEY FOCUS: Must have end to end implementation experience of Anaplan. Anaplan modeling is a plus. Doesn't need 10y of experience, 5y is fine. Can't just have any ERP, need to be a SME of Anaplan and SAP S4 HANA., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field-or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in program and project management, preferably supporting finance divisions in Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, or similar industries.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple enterprise systems in Finance and Procurement environments.
- Must have experience with at least one end-to-end Anaplan implementation.
- Experience executing successful implementations using SAP S4/HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Ariba, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of Finance processes such as financial planning, management and external reporting, Capex planning, month-end close, reporting, and data analytics.
- Experience with system compliance activities including SOX, GxP, and audit readiness.
- Experience working with SaaS vendors and managing issue resolution via ticketing systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team for project execution and delivery.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including external service providers and joint venture partners.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work and documentation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination skills to interact with users, IT teams, and external vendors.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
