Job description

  • Review and assess the current landscape and architecture of the client's data platform/environment.
  • Architect and design new solutions to create more real-time data solutions.
  • Collaborate with business operations leaders to gain insight into how the company utilizes data and uncover additional needs.
  • Build an enhanced and scalable environment to meet business initiatives.
  • Utilize tools and technologies like SQL and Python for data analysis and engineering tasks.
  • Implement data engineering activities using platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Apply data science methodologies, including using Python and tools like Dataiku for data science workflows.
  • Apply machine learning strategies and models for improved model deployment and pipelines.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Data Governance, leveraging Alation for data cataloging and stewardship.
  • Act as a team or technical lead, overseeing and delivering the team's work in data engineering and analysis.
  • Create dashboards using visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft suite.
  • Leverage Amazon Web Services (S3, IAM, Redshift, CloudWatch, Glue, SageMaker) and Azure (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure SQL, SSAS, Synapse, Power BI) Cloud Services to implement and deliver business activities.
  • Ensure compliance, security, disaster recovery, testing, and DevOps in cloud services.
  • Create design documentation and knowledge-based artifacts.
  • Work with Accounting and Finance Leaders, as well as Sales and Operations Leaders, with an understanding of financial and operational data.
  • Assist the team or firm with expertise as a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Data Science professional, and Amazon Subject Matter Expert.
  • Contribute expertise from the Center of Excellence for Data, AI, and ML to the team's growth.
  • Develop upcoming team members, coach the current team, and provide training.

Technical Skills: SQL, Python, Pyspark, Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview and other BI tools, Github, Airflow , API's, AWS (S3, IAM, Redshift, Cloudwatch, Glue, Sagemaker,etc..), Azure ( Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure, QL,SSAS,Synapse,Power BI) Data Governance - Alation , AXON, Informatica Cloud, DBT, Devops and testing, EDW , Data Lakes, Data Science , Machine Learning and AI.

Requirements

Education: The minimum qualification required for performing the above specialty occupation duties is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or equivalent in a related field or a foreign equivalent is required closely related field with relevant experience.
