Job description

Our client, a leading energy infrastructure organization, is seeking a Senior IT Engineer - GEP Smart Product Support to support a large-scale Source-to-Pay transformation initiative. This role will focus on production support, system integration, and continuous improvement across a complex dual-system procurement environment integrating GEP Smart and SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in procurement technologies, strong troubleshooting capabilities across integrated systems, and experience working within enterprise-scale transformation programs., * Provide production support and resolve incidents within the GEP Smart platform, including:

  • Service Purchase Orders (POs)

  • Service Confirmations

  • Vendor catalogs

  • Approval workflows

  • User access issues

  • Troubleshoot and resolve cross-system integration issues between GEP Smart and SAP S/4HANA using middleware tools such as GEP Click and SAP Process Orchestration (PO)

  • Support Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes, including:

  • Contract creation, approvals, amendments, and renewals

  • Migration of legacy contracts from SAP SRM to GEP Smart

  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams to resolve transaction failures impacting:

  • Invoice processing

  • Financial reconciliation

  • Monitor and support master data integrations between GEP and SAP, including:

  • Supplier data

  • Material and service masters

  • Cost centers and organizational structures

  • Identify recurring issues and implement preventive solutions to improve system stability

  • Support business unit-specific configurations such as:

  • Approval hierarchies

  • Notifications

  • Roles and permissions

  • Participate in testing cycles including:

  • System Integration Testing (SIT)

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Regression testing

  • Validate GEP Spend Analytics data across business units

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with GEP Smart, including:

  • Materials Procurement

  • Services Procurement

  • Source-to-Contract

  • Spend Analytics

  • Experience supporting GEP in a hybrid procurement ecosystem integrated with SAP

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Service PO and Service Confirmation workflows

  • Financial data flow between GEP and SAP

  • Hands-on experience with integration tools:

  • GEP Click

  • SAP Process Orchestration (or similar middleware)

  • Experience supporting master data integrations across enterprise systems
