Job description

The Lead OCI Administrator (IC4) will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP/HCM/SCM) and related reports within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment. This role acts as a technical lead for cloud infrastructure, bridging DBA expertise with PaaS/SaaS integration. The candidate will lead teams in managing high-availability production environments, enforcing security compliance, and driving automation (Infrastructure as Code)., * OCI & Fusion Administration: Lead the deployment, patching, upgrading, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and underlying OCI Infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS).

  • DBA Operations: Manage Oracle Autonomous Databases and traditional Database as a Service (DBaaS) to ensure performance, backup, recovery, and security.
  • Application Deployment & Reporting: Build and deploy Oracle Fusion applications and configure BI Publisher reports/analytics.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead teams in deploying and maintaining applications, mentoring junior staff, and driving best practices in a 24/7 environment.
  • Automation & DevOps: Implement CI/CD pipelines, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Python to automate infrastructure management.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to security standards, including Data Safe, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and IAM policies.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Oracle Applications/Database administration, with at least 3-4 years specialized in OCI.
  • Role Level: Proven experience leading teams in technical projects.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • OCI: Deep knowledge of networking (VCN, FastConnect, Load Balancers), storage (Object/File Storage), and compute.
  • Fusion Apps: Hands-on experience with Fusion Functional Setup Manager, security roles, and customization.
  • DBA: Expertise in Oracle Database tuning, Data Guard, RAC, and GoldenGate.
  • Reports: Experience building and deploying Oracle Fusion Reports (BI Publisher).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect.
  • Experience with scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.
  • Experience in a heavily regulated or federal environment (DISA STIGs).

Benefits & conditions

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
