As a Senior Technology Engineer within PNC's C/IB MIS Commercial Lending organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, or Strongsville, OH.
- Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, Kafka, and SQL Server
- Build scalable microservices and deploy them on Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP)
- Develop modern frontend solutions, including micro frontends and module federation
- Apply MACH architecture principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless)
- Design and integrate REST and SOAP APIs for internal and third-party systems
- Lead application modernization, including legacy migrations, cloud adoption, and greenfield builds
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, SonarQube, and automated testing
- Embed security best practices into the SDLC, including vulnerability scanning and remediation (DevSecOps)
- Integrate workflow, rules, and automation tools such as Flowable (BPM) and Drools
- Enable observability and monitoring using Logscale, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and global engineering teams
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions, * Leads in the development of the most complex new and emerging technologies and selects appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
- Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
- Consults junior staff regarding complex issues and best practices.
- Provides a systematic analysis on the most complex client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
- Oversees the quality of complex project deliverables while ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant standards and processes.

Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with strong full stack exposure
- Deep expertise in Java, Spring (Boot), and modern frontend frameworks (Angular and/or React)
- Strong experience building and deploying microservices on Kubernetes / OpenShift
- Proven experience with API design and integrations (REST & SOAP)
- Hands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, and Git branching strategies (Gitfow or similar)
- Solid understanding of cloud-native development, containers, and secure coding practices
- Experience working with Kafka, relational databases (preferably SQL Server), and distributed systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with micro frontend architecture and module federation
- Exposure to workflow engines (Flowable) and rules engines (Drools)
- Experience integrating third-party platforms such as DocuSign-like eSignature tools, identity providers, or payment gateways
- Experience with analytics, BI tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms
