The Forward Deployed Engineer - Creative Technologist is a hands-on technical innovator who works with our AI technology partners to rapidly prototype and deploy AI-powered creative solutions that maximize value realization from Generative AI investments. You will be embedded within client environments, building custom plugins, automating creative workflows, and creating novel integrations that demonstrate the transformative potential of generative AI in content creation. Working at the intersection of design and engineering, you will own technical systems end-to-end-from rapid prototyping through production deployment. Your expertise in Adobe App Builder, Node.js, Python, and AI technologies will enable you to quickly analyze client challenges, architect innovative solutions, and build working prototypes that capture field-proven use cases., 1. Rapid Prototyping & Technical Innovation
- Rapidly Prototype & Iterate: Create proof-of-concept implementations demonstrating AI integration possibilities
- Adobe Ecosystem Development: Build and iterate on AI-powered creative tools and plugins using Adobe App Builder, UXP, and Creative SDK frameworks
- Custom Tooling: Develop custom Photoshop and Figma plugins that automate complex creative workflows and integrate AI capabilities
- Agile Execution: Operate within Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver iterative value, adapting quickly to evolving client feedback and requirements
- API Configuration & System Integration
- API Orchestration: Write JSON configuration files and orchestrate complex API calls to create seamless automation sequences between disparate systems.
- Hands-on Troubleshooting: deeply investigate API requests/responses, debug connectivity issues using browser consoles and proxy tools, and optimize integration performance for low latency
- Integrate cutting-edge AI technologies (LLMs, diffusion models, RAG pipelines) into creative workflows and production systems
- Build and optimize AI agent frameworks using tools like AutoGen, LangChain, and LlamaIndex for creative workflow automation
- Implement multimodal AI processing capabilities for text, image, video, and audio content creation and manipulation
- Client-Embedded Technical Leadership
- Operate within client environments with high autonomy, managing complex technical workstreams from ideation through deployment
- Drive technical requirements gathering and solution architecture for AI-powered creative systems
- Analyze unfamiliar legacy backend systems and devise novel integration solutions
- Product Innovation & Knowledge Transfer
- Capture field-proven use cases and technical patterns, feeding insights back to Product & Engineering teams
- Establish frameworks and mental models that inspire autonomous innovation across engineering and creative teams
- Document technical discoveries and prototype learnings to accelerate future implementations
- Mentor client technical teams on AI integration best practices and advanced automation techniques
Requirements
- 7-8 years of experience in creative technology, full-stack engineering, or technical product development
- Experience using rapid prototyping, structured testing, and continuous refinement as core working methods. A portfolio demonstrating a history of rapid app/tool development is highly recommended.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud APIs, SDK, CEP frameworks, Firefly Services APIs, and building custom plugins/extensions (ex: Photoshop, Figma, etc.) Workfront Fusion experience a plus
- Experience with full-stack development, modern web technologies, API integration, cloud deployment
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, diffusion models, RAG pipelines, vector databases, prompt engineering, model optimization, and AI agent frameworks with multimodal processing
- Deep understanding of creative workflows, content production pipelines, and design tool ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to own complex systems end-to-end from ideation through deployment
- Proven ability to navigate seamlessly across disciplines (ML, animation pipelines, plugin architecture, generative models)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Willingness to travel within the US (10-20%)

Expected Pay Range: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $139,000 -- $257,550 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In New York, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In Illinois, the pay range for this position is $155,700 - $225,450 At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
