Job description
Position description: IT support is a commodity but AMAZING customer service is not! As a Traveling Field IT Technician, you will face a variety of technical issues, allowing you to creatively problem solve in a fast-paced environment. This position will require 50% overnight travel to new and existing customer sites. Duties include:
- Travel to new client onboardings to perform network documentation, toolset deployment and network assessments.
- Install Firewalls, Switches, Access Points and Phone systems as part of project deployment.
- Document all network and client changes that occur during new hardware deployment.
- Ensure highest level of availability for network resources and maximize uptime throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate in a knowledgeable, yet approachable, language with the client to allow understanding of complex terminology and practices by the client.
Secondary Responsibilities: When not travelling for projects, the IT Technician will assist with local/regional IT tasks for Reynolds and Reynolds and KeyTrak.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in VoIP?, Do you have a Trade school?, * Must have a valid driver's license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
- Must have at least 2-3 years direct experience in a similar project role.
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school is preferred.
- Seasoned with Ticketing Systems, Local Exchange, and Email/Server Migrations.
- Strong sense of Firewall Configurations, Cisco, and Networking.
- Accustomed to Imaging and VMware Virtualization.
- Knowledgeable on Cabling and Telco Circuits.
- Educated on VoIP, VLANs, DNS, BSOD, and GPO's.
- Direct experience with Microsoft 365, GSuite, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
- Ability to travel to project sites on a regular basis. Up to 50% overnight travel (overnight hotel stays).
- Experience updating project and technical documentation.
- Must be able to attend a paid training class in Texas
