Application Support Engineer

Analyze, interpret, and recommend conceptual through final design solutions for assigned engineering projects Perform engineering calculations including stress analysis and dynamic loading Support applications design engineering for new and existing products Modify existing products to meet special customer or site-specific requirements Review highway design standards including MASH, NCHRP 350, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, and ASTM specifications Perform value engineering studies to reduce manufacturing costs Investigate, respond to, and resolve product issues with internal teams and customers Prepare written reports and deliver oral presentations to internal teams and customers Check, sign, and stamp drawings (P.E. where applicable) Ensure accurate and timely communication with internal departments and external stakeholders

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required 2+ years of engineering experience (Junior-level candidates encouraged to apply) Masters degree considered in lieu of experience with strong project leadership and internships 3D CAD experience required (Autodesk Inventor preferred) Experience with BOM creation highly preferred Steel design experience strongly preferred (welding, punching, stamping) Working knowledge of ANSYS simulation software preferred Strong communication skills and customer-facing ability Hands-on mechanical aptitude strongly preferred (automotive, farm, or equipment background a plus) Willingness to travel 10 25% as needed EIT or P.E. license preferred or interest in obtaining one
