As a Systems Engineer, you will serve as the FBM Program System Safety Engineer, focusing on performing and leading safety analysis across the FBM program.
In this role you will: Analyze hardware and software, establish and maintain system safety requirements in support of the system safety program. Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analyses (FHAs), and Safety Assessment Reports (Safety Assessment Report (SAR)) in accordance with MIL-STD-882. Prepare presentations and participate in Design Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and various working groups and safety review meetings Develop and/or update system safety documents to support customer, system safety, and contractual requirements Review and provide input to requirements, design, and test procedures for adherence to system safety requirements

Requirements
- A minimum of a BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent education, with 1 year of professional experience; or Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level. Demonstrated knowledge and application of system safety design and operations safety principles to include experience with one or all of the following: hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation, safety requirements management, and associated deliverable documentation. Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and interact in group meeting/working environments with team members, development, organizations and customers. ship with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Desired skills
Experience using MIL-STD-882E, or other relevant industry and/or safety standards Experience developing Safety Assessment Report (SAR), and/or other system safety assessment documentation. Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. This position is incentive plan eligible., Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $84,300 - $146,165.
