Job description
A Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the organizations' IT infrastructure. They ensure that the organization's computer systems are reliable, secure, and efficient, supporting the overall IT infrastructure. Systems Administrators ensure that all technological aspects run smoothly and securely, which in turn supports the overall productivity and efficiency of the company.
- System Maintenance and Management: Ensuring that all computer systems are running efficiently, reliably, and securely.
- System Integration: Responsible for integrating various components of a system to ensure they work together seamlessly. This includes hardware, software, network, and other IT infrastructure elements following the defined change control processes.
- Technical Support: Monitoring and managing ticket queues, providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Documentation (Process and Technical): Create Process and Technical documentation which are crucial for ensuring clarity, consistency, and efficiency within IT operations.
- Operational Efficiency: By maintaining and optimizing IT systems, sysadmins help improve the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization.
- Security First: Implements a security-first practice by integrating cybersecurity considerations into every aspect of the business from the ground up. Ensures that security is a fundamental part of the design and operation of systems and processes.
- Business Knowledge: Has a basic understanding of Business Processes; Is familiar with the company's core business functions and processes; understands how their role supports business objectives; is able to communicate technical issues in a way that non-technical stakeholders can understand; has the basic skills to gather and document business requirements; applies technical skills to solve business problems; understands the impact of their work on business outcomes.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Agile software development?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Typical Years of Experience is 1-3 years, * Agile Methodology (N) - essential for promoting flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Automation and Scripting (N) - streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and reduces the potential for human error.
- Business Acumen (N) - alignment of technical expertise with the broader business objectives.
- Cloud Computing (N) - leverage cloud technologies to enhance scalability, flexibility, and efficiency. OR Leverage cloud technologies to support and enhance business operations. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Innovation (N) - drives technological advancements and improves business processes.
- Scalability (N) - ensures that systems can handle the organization's growth and evolving needs efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshooting (P) - quickly and effectively resolve issues, maintaining the smooth operation of IT systems and supporting the overall success of the organization.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent experience and/or alternative qualifications will be considered.
