Job description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical programs. This role will focus on building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support modern software delivery and AI/ML-enabled capabilities. The ideal candidate has experience with AWS cloud environments, infrastructure as code, containerized applications, and automated CI/CD pipelines in secure government environments. This role will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and security teams to deliver reliable platforms that support advanced analytics and AI/ML workloads.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated testing, integration, and deployment of applications.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
  • Deploy and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure supporting DoD mission systems.
  • Implement and manage containerized environments using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to optimize build, deployment, and release processes.
  • Support the deployment and operationalization of AI/ML models and data pipelines in cloud environments.
  • Implement automation to improve system reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security and accreditation standards (e.g., RMF, STIGs, security controls).
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure and applications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tooling, and architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools
  • Experience supporting AI/ML workloads, pipelines, or infrastructure
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience working in secure or government environments, * Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community programs
  • Familiarity with ML Ops practices
  • Experience with Kubernetes orchestration
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53)
  • AWS or DevOps certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps
  • Engineer, etc.)
