Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems & Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure and systems. The role involves managing enterprise systems, strengthening security posture, and ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across environments., * Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization)
- Administer operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions
- Manage virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V
- Ensure system performance, availability, and scalability
Security Engineering:
- Implement and manage security controls, policies, and best practices
- Configure firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
- Manage patching, hardening, and system security baselines
Identity & Access Management:
- Administer identity services such as Active Directory and Azure AD
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege principles
- Manage authentication mechanisms including MFA
Monitoring & Incident Response:
- Monitor system and security events using SIEM tools
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Cloud & Network Security:
- Support and secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Implement network security controls (VPNs, segmentation, secure gateways)
- Ensure secure configurations and compliance in hybrid environments
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain system and security documentation
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Participate in audits and risk assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering and cybersecurity
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux administration
- Hands-on experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Experience with security tools (SIEM, antivirus, EDR, vulnerability scanners)
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python), * Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft/AWS certifications
- Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions, * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle critical incidents
