Innova Solutions is seeking a dynamic and driven .NET Developer to join our client's high-impact technology team in Richmond, Virginia. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge enterprise applications, cloud integrations, and performance optimization initiatives. If you thrive in Agile environments and bring at least 4 years of hands-on .NET and cloud experience, we want to hear from you.
- This role is seeking 4+ years of experience. Sr. level candidate WILL be considered.
- This opening is a 6-12 month contract to hire. W2, C2C, & 1099 employment arrangements ARE acceptable; however, candidates must be able to convert to fulltime w2 employment without sponsorship.
- This position will require working onsite Tues, Wed, & Thurs every week
- Only local candidates who can interview in person the week of Sep 29^th and start hybrid onsite in October can be considered.
- Non local and video ONLY interview available candidate will NOT be considered.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Agile teams to eliminate technical blockers and accelerate delivery
- Lead efforts in application performance tuning, automation, and code optimization
- Serve as a technical SME, guiding peers on emerging technologies and design patterns
- Champion code reuse and process standardization across platforms
- Design and develop Enterprise Application Blocks, custom controls, and reusable components
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Partner with Architecture and Standards teams to validate designs and enforce best practices
- Evaluate solution options with cost-benefit analysis and architectural impact
- Provide technical leadership across developers, analysts, and QA testers
- Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Drive cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and alignment with APOs
- Lead complex assignments involving analysis, design, and documentation
- Oversee production support, including incident response and root cause analysis
- Ensure system reliability through proactive monitoring and process improvement
- Write secure, maintainable code that adheres to VRS standards and documentation protocols
- Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities, recommending corrective actions
- Develop and execute test scenarios using non-sensitive data
- Contribute to software upgrade planning and execution
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours technical support
Requirements
- Professional-level proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, SQL, and serverless technologies
- Familiarity with container orchestration tools (Docker, EKS, AKS) - nice to have
- Solid working knowledge of cloud platforms (we use Azure!)
- Proven success in systems and data integration within distributed architectures
- 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible) - nice to have
- Strong grasp of networking, security policies, and resource management across Linux and Windows
