Job description
The Lighting Analyst - Networked Lighting Controls (NLC) is responsible for analyzing, validating, and supporting lighting and control system data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of networked lighting control systems, spatial data interpretation, and data management, with a focus on supporting initiatives such as Georgia Power NLC reconciliation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to effectively communicate findings to support project decisions., * Demonstrate expertise in networked lighting control systems and diverse lamp technologies to support accurate evaluation, troubleshooting, and integration into electrical infrastructure
- Review and interpret as-built documentation and paper maps to identify key structural elements and ensure alignment with project specifications and design standards
- Analyze data spreadsheets to identify discrepancies, validate accuracy, and recommend corrective actions to improve data integrity and reliability
- Interpret and analyze multiple map types to extract geographic and spatial data for application in project planning and execution
- Organize and manage large datasets to ensure logical structure, accessibility, and reliable information flow in support of project requirements
- Develop and organize lighting layouts within defined spatial boundaries, ensuring compliance with project guidelines, technical specifications, and industry standards
- Present findings clearly and professionally during meetings to support informed decision-making and project alignment
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to produce well-structured documents, accurate spreadsheets, and professional presentations tailored to project and stakeholder needs
- Leverage Google Earth and Google Maps to analyze geographic locations, validate site conditions, and support mapping and planning activities
- Ensure all project data aligns with client specifications by conducting thorough reviews to maintain accuracy and support overall project integrity and client satisfaction.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Data interpretation?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience working with mapping tools such as Google Earth and Google Maps
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, as-built documentation, and spatial data
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and structure large datasets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team
- Experience supporting utility or infrastructure projects is preferred
- Familiarity with networked lighting control systems and lighting technologies is preferred
- Experience with lighting layout development and NLC reconciliation processes (e.g., Georgia Power projects) is preferred
