Job description

We're looking for a Senior AWS/EKS Engineer to help power our cloud infrastructure and digital/mobile applications. In this role, you'll collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to automate deployments, keep production environments resilient, and tackle incidents head-on. Your expertise will ensure our platforms stay reliable, scalable, and high-performing as we continue to grow. What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide hands-on support for production environments: installations, upgrades, patches, configuration, security, and releases.
  • Manage and optimize Amazon EKS clusters and containerized workloads, including scaling and troubleshooting.
  • Build automation for CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, deployments, and monitoring.
  • Maintain and evolve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or CloudFormation to streamline cloud provisioning.
  • Act as a technical lead during incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues quickly while recommending improvements.
  • Drive capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure stabilization with KPIs integrated into monitoring frameworks.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in application operations, site reliability, or cloud infrastructure engineering within AWS.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience (EKS, EC2, VPC, CloudWatch).
  • 4+ years working with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch) and managing TLS certificates/OpenSSL.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent experience.

Bonus Skills That Impress Us

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash), plus experience with Nginx/Apache.
  • Solid understanding of networking/routing and experience collaborating with vendors in production support.
