Job description

Builds and maintains ad hoc analysis. Performs advanced data analysis and translates business needs into high-quality requirements for reporting and visualization. Ensures data integrity, and delivers actionable insights through prescriptive recommendations. Responsibilities

  • Develop datasets that serve as sources for various reports and enterprise data marts.
  • Analyze datasets - perform exploratory analysis and data manipulation or for deliverables.
  • Leads or facilitates meetings to translate business needs into clearly defined, well-documented, high-quality requirements to support future reporting and visualizations.
  • Assists in the development of complex ad hoc reporting.
  • Exercises discretion and applies critical thinking relative to analysis, planning, and/or implementation of critical business initiatives.
  • Provides prescriptive recommendations for action as part of reporting based on analysis of requested data.
  • Applies data best practices to ensure the quality and accessibility of assembled datasets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience
  • 4-6 years' experience or equivalent, related knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance, ideally in State Mangement, Product Management or Underwriting.
  • SQL expertise required, Snowflake experience highly desired, SAS is a plus.
  • Proven expertise extracting, analyzing and interpreting data to impact business decisions is a must.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
