Job description

  • Database Administration:
  • Manage and maintain Oracle databases (11GR2 or higher) in a high-security environment.
  • Perform routine database administration tasks including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
  • Performance Tuning:
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning, index management, and other performance enhancement techniques.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and issues.
  • Security Management:
  • Implement and maintain database security protocols and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards, including those required for TS/SCI clearance.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database issues and errors.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures.
  • Backup and Recovery:
  • Design and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Perform regular database backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, system administrators, and security personnel.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior database administrators.

Requirements

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Level 3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle database administration, with a strong focus on performance tuning, security management, and troubleshooting. This role requires expert-level knowledge of Oracle 11GR2 or higher and the ability to manage large-scale enterprise databases., * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Proven experience with Oracle 11GR2 or higher.
  • Working knowledge of Solaris and/or RHEL.
  • Expert Knowledge:
  • Expert-level knowledge of Oracle DBMS.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security management of Oracle databases.
  • Ability to manage large-scale enterprise databases.
  • Certifications:
  • Security+ (CE)
  • Oracle DBA Professional
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a high-security environment requiring TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle databases (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS for Oracle).
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).
  • TS/SCI Clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is: $103,800 - $218,100
