Job description
The Software Developer is responsible for providing support for the design and development of information solutions to promote and support quality online courses. This involves programming, scripting, and contextualizing the unit's information, processes, and data. This position must engage in the complexities and nuances surrounding the gathering, analysis, visualization, and reporting of solutions for the unit. From automating workflows and approval processes to creating 2D & 3D simulations for innovative training solutions, the software developer position will involve a wide range of technology and programming languages, including but not limited to asset tracking, software development, AR asset creation, or VR environment construction and interactive object creation.
Other job functions will include developing and facilitating live and pre-produced training, production of instructional materials, and objects. Performs other duties as assigned at the discretion of the supervisor. This position reports to the Associate Executive Director of eLearning.
Summary of Responsibilities:

Be responsible for data visualization and weekly reporting of operational data.

Design and program web apps that make departmental data readily available to the Executive Directors as needed.

Serve on the development team to create and maintain COCE database and tracking tools.

Design and program desktop apps to increase productivity and access to information as assigned.

Develop data visualization for reports related to the Board of Governors' progress on the 2025 Quality Plan.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned at the discretion of the Associate Executive Director of eLearning.

Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Skills:
Assisting in hardware and software training and troubleshooting
Microsoft Office Suite (including Forms, Automate, PowerApps); Web Conferencing tools including Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx & Zoom
Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop); Javascript, HTML, CSS; Studio Video Production Software (OBS, Video Switchers)
Experience with multiple computer systems, programming languages, and collaborative platforms is required. Experience with business analytics and object-oriented programming
Knowledge of or experience with Maya, Blender, Cinema4D, Game Designer, and Unity is a plus
