In this position, you will be supporting the Global Head of Scientific and Therapeutic Development and two (2) Commercial Leaders. Your expertise and support will be essential in enabling these leaders to drive growth, foster innovation, and maintain Thermo Fisher Scientific's position as a leader in the scientific community.
As an Executive Assistant at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll support senior leadership in their mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll serve as a trusted partner to executives, managing complex calendars, coordinating travel, and ensuring seamless communication across the organization. Your exceptional organizational abilities, discretion, and proactive approach will be crucial in managing confidential information and handling multiple high-priority tasks. You'll collaborate with teams, coordinate meetings and events, and manage special projects to completion. This role requires someone who remains composed while delivering outstanding administrative support that enables executives to focus on strategic priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma required. Minimum of 5 years of executive administrative experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of executive assistant experience supporting senior leadership, preferably in a global corporate environment.
- Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Secretarial Science, or related field
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with impeccable attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
- Experience coordinating complex international travel and managing visa requirements
- Proven experience working independently to solve problems creatively
- Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to provide occasional support outside standard business hours
- Proficiency with expense reporting systems (e.g. Concur)
- Experience in calendar management across multiple time zones
- Strong project management and event planning capabilities
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
