As a member of a collaborative development team, the Senior Software Engineer will be involved in the design and refactoring of an embedded software onto a next generation platform containing new systems, hardware, software, and security. A primary objective is to transition the embedded application to new platforms, improve the maintainability and forward engineering capabilities of the product family, and to feature the product in support of product roadmaps and high-profile customer requests., The Senior Software Engineer will work closely both onsite and offsite with systems, hardware, software, security, and test engineers as well as product management to ensure timely delivery of new quality products. The Senior Software Engineer will also work closely with product and program managers, customers, and third parties as necessary to support the products throughout the lifecycle.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Follow software engineering principles and best practices across all phases of commercial development and engineering product release practices.

Lead and contribute to product requirement and design reviews.

Communicate task and project status to the team and engineering management.

Solve technical problems and challenges in an innovative manner with minimal supervision.

Interact with and consult colleagues while resolving technical problems.

Communicate clearly with both internal and external customers and partners.

Respond to requests, issues, e-mails or other events in a timely and flexible fashion.

Mentor new employees and Junior Software engineers.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field of study.

5-8 years of relevant experience with software configuration management & control tools Ability to debug and resolve complex problems in multi-threaded and concurrent applications.

Ability to accurately break down, estimate and schedule software tasks.

3+ years of experience in software engineering.

3+ years' experience with embedded systems and architectures.

3+ years programming in C and/or C++., * Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Knowledge of Java, or Python.
-
Experience programing Cloud APIs from at least one of AWS, GCP and Azure.

Experience with Containers (Dockers/Kubernetes).

Experience with Linux, virtualization and Linux virtual machines.

Knowledge of cloud-based Rest API and Open API (Swagger) framework

Experience with Continuous Integration (CI).

Experience with agile development, SAFe.

Knowledge of TLS/SSL, Golang and Dockers containers.

Understanding encryption security solutions.

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between
Total Target Cash (TTC) 111,853.13 - 203,098.60 USD Annual
