Job description

General Functions: Responsible for the administration and management of two, 24-hour Supervised Residential group homes and oversight of staffing and operations. Population of focus is adults with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. Supervise residential staff in home, ensuring appropriate services are provided and documented in accordance with department policies.

Specific Functions:

Serve as a leader in the Behavioral Health (BH) department, taking initiative with staff development, program development, and process improvement.

Interview, hire, onboard, and train assigned team members in accordance with department and agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to managing time-off requests, keeping ADP updated, approving mileage/expenses, and completing Employee Performance Reviews.

Provide training, supervision, and guidance to 24-hour supervised residential staff in the provision of prescribed behavioral health services, residential support services, and daily routines and tasks.

Develop Staff Development/Performance Improvement Plans for team members who are struggling in work performance and/or interactions with persons served; meet weekly with staff to review concerns/progress and document as noted in department protocol.

Maintain active communication with Residential Case Manager and other professionals in order to support the needs of individuals in group home.

Review MRO billing reports generated by the Residential Support Specialist and Supervised Residential Professionals. Ensure billing quotas are being maintained. Provide guidance on how to assist staff with increasing billing if/when needed; provide additional training, and when all options are exhausted, initiate disciplinary action.

Provide staff training and re-training, as needed, to assist residential staff to complete daily MRO billing in order for them to meet or exceed MRO weekly billing quotas.

Complete MRO note audits weekly in compliance with Medicaid billing requirements.

Facilitate weekly team meetings to stay apprised of the well-being of all residents, ensuring a philosophy and practice of individual choice is prevalent in all services

Review/approve check requests in accordance with allowable costs and ensure correct documentation on check requests prior to sending them to Finance department.

Keep Housing Staff/Client List updated at all times.

Utilize the work order system to promptly notify the Buildings and Grounds Department of any necessary work, safety issues, or repairs in homes.

Oversee staff schedules to ensure adequate ratio and 24/7 staffing at all times. Approve the use of staff benefit hours in accordance with staffing needs of the program. Provide staff coverage in group homes as needed.

Monitor behavioral health group home staff daily record keeping related to regular operations, client appointments, and programming.

Be available 24/7 to respond to staffing needs/support, emergencies, etc., per established procedures.

Be available for Manager Assistance calls for any safety-related, on-site, building concerns.

Participate in monthly clinical supervision meetings; seek ongoing clinical supervision from supervisors; and participate in continuing education to maintain applicable licenses/certifications.

Participate in all agency and department trainings, meetings, online trainings, and any additionally recommended trainings or meetings.

Maintain ongoing compliance with all agency-related training and certification requirements.

Respond per established procedures to all emergency situations including medical, behavioral, fire, severe weather, and other hazards.

Operate agency or personal vehicle in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Own, maintain, and use personal smartphone for company business in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Working with individuals with substance use disorders?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Qualifications: Consistent with requirements for Mental Health Professional (bachelor's degree in related field or minimum of five years supervised experience in mental health/human services). Previous supervisory experience required. Experience with adults with mental health/substance use disorders required. Experience working in a 24-hour supervised residential setting strongly preferred. Proficiency in the use of computers and typing and working knowledge of MS Word and MS Outlook applications required. Driving record and auto insurance coverage in compliance with agency policy. A post-offer physical and criminal background check required. Reliable transportation required. EOE.
