Job description

Telos is hiring a Director of Data Platform to design, build, and operate the company's centralized data infrastructure. This is a highly visible role reporting to the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer and working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Analytics to support enterprise-wide data initiatives. This leader will own the architecture and evolution of Telos' data platform, including the migration of existing systems, development of a modern data warehouse, and integration of data across clinical, operational, and financial systems. Working closely with analytics, clinical, and operational leadership, this role will ensure the platform enables scalable analytics, reporting, and future AI-driven initiatives across the organization. We are looking for a hands-on builder with strong data engineering and platform experience who can lead the development of Telos' long-term data infrastructure., * Evaluate and implement modern data infrastructure tools (cloud data warehouse, ingestion pipelines, transformation frameworks)

  • Build scalable pipelines to integrate data across EHR, operational systems, financial platforms, and CRM tools
  • Ensure the platform is built for long-term scalability, performance, and reliability, * Lead the migration of existing data environments (including current Microsoft Fabric usage) into a long-term internal platform
  • Support the transition of data between systems, including CRM migrations and new operational tools
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to manage data integrations and platform transitions

Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Implement data governance standards and access controls across the platform
  • Establish frameworks for data security, PHI protection, and regulatory compliance
  • Build systems that support data masking, user permissioning, and secure data access, * Partner closely with the Director of Data Analytics to ensure the platform supports analytics, dashboards, and business insights
  • Work with operations, clinical leadership, finance, and growth teams to understand data requirements and system integrations
  • Collaborate with internal technology leadership and external vendors on platform development and evolution

Vendor & Project Management

  • Evaluate and manage third-party data infrastructure vendors and tools
  • Lead technical data platform projects across internal and external teams
  • Ensure delivery of projects aligned with Telos' data strategy and operational goals

Requirements

Do you have experience in Vendor relationship management?, * 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform, or data architecture roles

  • Experience designing or operating modern data warehouse architectures
  • Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, and modern data pipeline frameworks
  • Experience building or managing cloud-based data platforms
  • Familiarity with data governance, security frameworks, and data access controls
  • Familiarity with database operations
  • Experience integrating data across multiple operational systems (CRM, finance, operational tools, etc.)
  • Experience managing technical projects and coordinating with vendors or external partners, * Experience working with healthcare datasets, EHR systems, or regulated healthcare environments
  • Familiarity with modern data stack technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, or similar platforms
  • Experience with data platform migrations or large-scale system transitions
  • Understanding of data architecture considerations for AI and advanced analytics workflows
