Job description
We are seeking a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The role involves ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and availability while supporting day-to-day operations and troubleshooting issues., * Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot system, hardware, and network-related issues
- Manage storage, file systems, and backups
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Support virtualization and container platforms (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ensure system security, compliance, and hardening standards
- Collaborate with DevOps, network, and application teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 3-7+ years of experience in Linux system administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools
- Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with virtualization and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of security best practices and system hardening
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, * Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, etc.)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions, * Attention to detail
