- Actively participate in the design and testing phases, beyond just documentation.
- Contribute to system architectures, block diagrams, and design trades.
- Lead test efforts by writing test plans and procedures, supporting and executing tests, and driving issue resolution.
- Derive, allocate, and manage system requirements, even when customer requirements are incomplete or evolving.
- Produce system documentation, including system descriptions, interfaces, and test artifacts.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Work independently with minimal oversight and communicate effectively with team members.

We are seeking a dynamic Systems Engineer with a strong technical background to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on project engineer who excels in scheduling, task sequencing, and execution tracking. You will be actively involved in design and testing processes, contributing to system architectures, block diagrams, and technical decisions. Your expertise in JIRA for planning and driving work to closure will be highly valued., * Strong skills in requirements gathering, systems engineering, and project management.
- Proficiency in using JIRA for project execution.
- Experience with electro-mechanical and related systems.
- BS degree and 8-12 years of experience or MS/PhD degree and 5-8 years of experience in the field.
- Experience interacting with software, hardware, and electrical integration testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to identify the root cause of technical problems.
- Ability to analyze alternate approaches and develop practical solutions to complex problems.

This is a Contract position based out of Elkridge, MD. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $62.50/hr.
