Job description

- Work closely with engineers and technicians in both a virtual and physical lab environment
- Advise on integration of new emerging industry technologies to the program's systems
- Implement engineering changes to the system as required
- Review, analyze, and incorporate technical requirements into end-to-end system architectures
- Responsible for completing the network designs and coordinating with the peers, SMEs, and government engineers
- Assist proposal development by providing data inputs
- Execute engineering projects on schedule in a DevOps environment
- Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; OR 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree; OR 4 years of experience with STEM PhD degree
- An additional 4 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor degree.
- Solid understanding of IP address planning, VRFs, ACLs, encapsulation, switching, routing, QoS, NAT, and application protocols
- Experience with authentication and data encryption methods, to include securing communications at either the datalink or network layer
- Experience with IT infrastructure management/monitoring tools (e.g., WhatsUpGold, Splunk, SolarWinds, Cisco Secure Servers - ISE) and techniques
- Experience using Cisco Call Managers (or equivalent), and an understanding of the VoIP stack, from an OSI modeling perspective
- Possess one or more of the following certifications (or equivalent): CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIP-ENT
- Must be a US Citizen
- CLEARANCE: A current/active DoD Secret clearance.
- Must currently have SAP or must be able to obtain and maintain SAP, * Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, FedRAMP or JSIG information system environments
- Familiarity in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Lifecycle
- Demonstrated success investigating root cause analysis and providing recommendations to others
- Experience with async/sync data replication along with automated failure recovery, to include using technologies such as HSRP, VRRP, VM clustering, or load balancers * Multi-OS experience, with specific knowledge of RHEL, CentOS, or Windows Server
- Experience with virtual machines and hypervisors, such as ESX, KVM or Xen
- Experience with terrestrial and space-based network architectures, designs, and implementation techniques
- Experience with IDSs/IPSs, or ZBFWs
- Experience with HAIPE encryption
- Basic network knowledge in cloud/hybrid infrastructures and related technologies
- Proficiency in network modeling with programs such as Visio, MagicDraw, or Cameo
- Current DoD 8570/8140 IA Certification (Security+CE or similar) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
