Job description

The Senior Financial Data Analyst supports the Manager - Financial Systems & Data Excellence and collaborates closely with Finance, ERP/IT, Audit/Compliance, and other areas to steward and analyze financial data across all Mercy platforms. The role champions standardization, automation, and process improvement to ensure highly reliable financial data/analysis and operational readiness across the ministry., The Senior Financial Data Analyst is also responsible for executing operational, administrative, and technical activities necessary to maintain the integrity, reliability, and performance of Mercy's financial systems. The role will administer the Infor-Lawson General Ledger and related financial ERP systems, supporting system integrations, maintaining data accuracy across environments, and ensuring disciplined change control. The Senior Financial Data Analyst also supports upgrades, patches, reporting structures, and system enhancements.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related discipline

Experience: Expert knowledge and experience working with complex, multi-source datasets. Proficient with Oracle, Databricks or MS SQL.

Experienced with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization applications. Experience with financial application development, system testing and maintenance.

  3. Very strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.
