Job description

  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to engineering and production teams.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to understand product specifications and testing requirements.
  • Design and build test fixtures, jigs, and equipment to facilitate efficient product testing.
  • Perform root cause analysis of product failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Validate that products meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C++).
  • Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and product specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

    • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
    • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
    • Basic understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation.
    • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies.
