Job description

The IT Service Desk Technician will be responsible for the configuration, installation, imaging, and support of personal computers and desktop software systems. The role focuses on daily maintenance activities, device remediation, and ensuring reliable end-user computing performance., + Configure, install, and image desktop and laptop computers

  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including remediating broken or malfunctioning client devices

  • Install, configure, and support desktop software systems

  • Provide onsite technical support to end users

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of PC Technician experience in a business or enterprise networking environment

  • Strong working knowledge of desktop hardware, imaging, and troubleshooting

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Must be located within 8 hours of Elko, NV

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Microsoft MCSA or MCSE certifications

  • CompTIA A+ certification

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a IT Service Desk Technician to support a large-scale technology initiative for one of our mining industry clients in the Elko, Nevada area. This is an on-site, project-based assignment expected to last approximately 12 months, supporting end-user computing environments across active industrial operations. This role is ideal for hands-on IT professionals who enjoy hardware deployment, desktop support, and working directly with end users in a fast-paced operational environment.
