Job description

Evergreen, Insight Global's Manage Service Division partners with a large local utility company and we are seeking a Technical Product Manager to support the Data Mgmt & Analytics team to support the delivery of high impact applications across multiple functional areas. We are seeking a Senior Data Visualization Engineer with hands-on, advanced experience in Palantir Foundry and a strong background in electric utilities. We are looking for someone to operate as a key member of a product development team, creating high-quality data products and geospatial decision-support tools that enable leaders to make critical operational decisions for the electric grid.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build data pipelines and models primarily within Palantir Foundry using PySpark.

  • Develop polished, intuitive geospatial visualizations and decision-support tools-not standard dashboards.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, GIS, and analytics teams to deliver impactful, innovative products.

  • Take initiative in shaping product direction and actively contribute ideas-not just take orders.

  • Iterate quickly, incorporate detailed feedback, and maintain strong communication to keep the team aligned.

  • Ensure visualizations are functional, artistic, and user-friendly, leveraging Foundry's geospatial capabilities.

Requirements

  • Electric utility background (PG&E experience highly preferred). If not utilities, electrical engineering experience is strongly preferred.

  • True hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry-not just exposure. Must be trained and proficient.

  • Engineering experience with utility systems, asset data, or infrastructure operations.

  • PySpark proficiency (mandatory for Foundry development).

  • Strong data engineering skills combined with full-stack visualization experience and UI instincts.

  • Ability to take ownership, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively as part of a product team.

  • Experience with SQL, ETL processes, and Power BI.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to accept and incorporate feedback gracefully. * Snowflake experience for data warehousing.

  • TypeScript experience for developing Foundry functions.
