Job description
As a Fullstack Agentic AI Engineer at Kyndryl, you'll take the architect's vision and turn it into reality building and delivering the code and integrations that power our customer engagements, and next-gen Agentic AI deployments. This is a hands-on, highly technical role where you'll work on enterprise-grade software platforms that integrate Agentic AI capabilities.
You'll thrive in a true builder's environment, where MVP rollouts happen in weeks, and you'll have the autonomy to experiment, innovate, and solve complex problems. Expect a mix of technical work, some customer-facing collaboration and a fast-paced, iterative setting with evolving requirements.
What You'll Do

Develop and implement end-to-end AI-driven applications, integrating generative AI models.

Build and maintain scalable front-end interfaces using modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).

Design and develop robust back-end services using Node.js, Python, or other back-end technologies.

Integrate large language models (LLMs) and multimodal AI models into applications.

Optimize application performance, ensuring efficiency in AI inference and API response times.

Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for AI model interaction.

Deploy AI applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) using containerization and serverless technologies.
Requirements

And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others., + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a track record of building scalable, production-ready systems.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).

Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen or CrewAI.

Hands-on experience with integrating AI models via APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).

Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).

Ability to design scalable and maintainable architectures for AI-driven applications.

Capable of working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end functionality.

Knowledge of message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and caching systems (e.g., Redis).
Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with Temporal Workflows, Langfuse, LLM gateways such as LiteLLM

Prior experience in prompt engineering

Experience in building AI-powered chatbots, content generators, or recommendation systems.

Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and AI model optimization.

Knowledge of serverless computing, edge AI, and streaming architectures.

Background in handling large-scale data or real-time systems.
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $110,880 to $263,160 based on a full-time schedule.
Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
California: $122,040 to $315,720
Colorado: $110,880 to $263,160, This position will be eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl's applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
