Provides day-to-day Oracle database administration support for enterprise and production database environments.

Performs installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, and routine maintenance of Oracle databases (11.x, 12.x, and higher).

Provides 24x7 production and on-call troubleshooting support to ensure database availability and performance.

Develops and maintains database objects using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including packages, procedures, functions, views, cursors, and complex queries.

Supports database performance tuning activities, including indexing, partitioning, compression, and SQL optimization.

Assists with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.

Supports storage management using Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)

Assists with configuration and support of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments.

Troubleshoots Oracle database issues and supports problem resolution and root cause analysis.

Supports Oracle database environments running on Linux and UNIX-based operating systems, including Sun Solaris and Red Hat Linux.

Works with onsite and offsite customers to gather requirements, analyze needs, and support database solutions.

Documents database configurations, procedures, and operational activities in accordance with enterprise and DCoE standards.

Works independently while coordinating with senior database administrators, application teams, and infrastructure personnel.
Requirements

Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting production database environments.

Experience must include Oracle database administration (11g, 12c, or higher), SQL and PL/SQL development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and operational support in a multi-tiered environment.
Education
-
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field is required.

Fifteen (15) years of applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS PREFERRED:

Minimum five (5) years of experience performing Oracle database administration duties.

Strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, includingdevelopment of complex queries and database objects.

Working knowledge of Oracle performance tuning techniques, including partitioning, indexing, and compression.
-
Hands-on experience supporting large-scale, multi-tiered production database environments.
-
Experience with Oracle product troubleshooting and problem resolution.
-
Experience configuring and administering Oracle databases (12c or higher) on Linux platforms.
-
Experience with operating systems including Sun Solaris 10.0 or later and Red Hat Linux 6.x or later.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Benefits & conditions
Target salary range: $110,000 - $140,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors, including the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.
