As the Epic Beaker Supervisor, you'll lead a high-performing team supporting critical healthcare applications, including Epic Beaker and key third-party systems. This role is central to advancing laboratory operations-driving system optimization, improving workflows, and ensuring the reliability of tools that clinicians depend on every day.
We're looking for a hands-on leader with strong Epic Beaker implementation experience across Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP). You'll guide the full lifecycle-from design and build to testing and optimization-while partnering closely with lab leaders, clinicians, and IT teams to deliver innovative, compliant, and efficient solutions.

What You'll Do
Lead & Inspire
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Epic Beaker analysts
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth
- Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development
Drive System Excellence
- Oversee design, build, testing, and optimization of Epic Beaker (AP/CP)
- Ensure high system performance, reliability, and user satisfaction
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical and operational issues
Partner Across the Organization
- Collaborate with lab operations, clinicians, and IT leadership
- Translate clinical and business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Support enterprise-wide strategies that integrate technology and patient care
Enhance & Innovate
- Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and system enhancements
- Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, safety, and compliance
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend forward-thinking solutions
Deliver Results
- Ensure service levels (SLAs), project timelines, and deliverables are met
- Manage system integrations and support complex environments
- Contribute to strategic planning, project prioritization, and execution
Requirements
- Epic Beaker expertise, including implementation experience across AP and CP
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and operations
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, complex healthcare IT environment
- Experience with system integrations, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Excellent communication skills-able to translate between technical and clinical audiences
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and team development, * Bachelor's degree in IT, business, health sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT or with a healthcare software vendor
- Relevant Epic certification(s) preferred (Epic Beaker AP/CP strongly desired).
If not currently certified, support will be provided to obtain and maintain Epic certification.
