Job description

As a Senior Automation Quality Engineer , you will make an impact by driving quality assurance and automation initiatives across supply chain and logistics systems. You will be a valued member of a cross-functional delivery team, working closely with business, development, and operations stakeholders to ensure reliable, scalable, and high-quality enterprise solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze functional and technical requirements to design effective test scenarios, with a strong focus on system integrations and data flow mapping

  • Develop and execute test strategies and test plans aligned with project and business goals

  • Lead automation testing initiatives using Power Automate, UiPath, and API/Web Services automation tools

  • Define and maintain automation frameworks and reusable testing assets

  • Perform database validation using PL/SQL to ensure data accuracy and integrity

  • Provide test estimations, support proof-of-concept activities, and contribute to project planning

  • Lead defect triage discussions, track quality metrics, and ensure timely issue resolution

  • Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams, ensuring seamless communication and delivery

  • Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to provide updates, insights, and recommendations

  • Mentor junior team members and support overall team effectiveness

Requirements

  • 5+ years of overall Quality Engineering or testing experience in enterprise environments

  • Strong domain knowledge in Supply Chain Management and Logistics

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate

  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with UiPath automation

  • Experience with automation testing for APIs and web services

  • Solid understanding of test strategy, test planning, and defect management processes

  • Working knowledge of PL/SQL for database validation

  • Experience using Azure DevOps / Team Foundation Server or similar ALM tools

  • Hands-on experience coordinating with onsite and offshore teams

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments

  • Prior responsibility for team leadership or test coordination

  • Exposure to automation framework design and optimization

  • Strong customer-facing experience in complex delivery programs

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 to 112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
