Job description
An employer is looking to add a Senior Network Architect to their team in Denver, CO. This person will be responsible for designing, modernizing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies, and a strong understanding of data center architecture, SDN connectivity, and secure air-gapped environments. This role will play a critical part in assessing current network designs, identifying gaps, and implementing scalable, secure solutions aligned with business and operational goals.
They will be responsible for designing and architecting enterprise-level LAN and data center networks, reviewing, modernizing, and updating existing network architecture to improve performance, scalability, and security. They will also implement and support SDN technologies, including VXLAN and advanced data I/O strategies. They will be responsible for ensuring robust security protocols are implemented for air-gapped environments. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business needs and assess and remediate security flaws or gaps in the network infrastructure. This person will provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices and emerging technologies, as well as document network designs, standards, and procedures.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in network design and architecture
Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies
Strong understanding of data center architecture and SDN concepts
Experience with VXLAN, data I/O optimization, and secure network segmentation
Familiarity with air-gapped environments and associated security requirements
Cloud connectivity experience with AWS and GCP
Proven ability to assess and resolve network security vulnerabilities Experience working with or for government entities
Networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSE)
