Job description

We are seeking a skilled Data Automation Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a federal digital modernization program. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who can build, automate, and enhance data workflows and software systems while working independently in a remote environment., * Design, develop, and support data automation solutions and software systems

  • Build and optimize data pipelines, workflows, and automation processes
  • Perform application analysis, system integration, and programming tasks
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems for better performance
  • Analyze technical issues and implement effective, scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to exchange and present technical insights
  • Support ongoing automation initiatives and system improvements
  • Mentor junior team members and assist in knowledge sharing when needed

Requirements

  • Strong experience in software development (Python, Java, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with data automation, ETL, or workflow orchestration
  • Solid understanding of systems integration and application analysis
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience working with federal/government projects
  • Familiarity with DOJ systems or Public Trust environments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Experience with automation tools or scripting frameworks
