Firmware Test Engineer (python)

Join our team as a Firmware Test Engineer, where you will collaborate closely with development engineers to automate test cases for the firmware development team focusing on battery technology. You will take test stories from the backlog, create and execute tests, and work with development engineers to ensure test sufficiency. Additionally, you will participate in test reviews, code reviews, and design reviews., * Lead the development of test plans and test cases for firmware products.

• Design and implement testing for embedded software systems.
• Review and refine engineering requirements to align with test plans.
• Establish and execute test procedures for firmware applications and subsystems.
• Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
• Interface with the electronics hardware design team.
• Collaborate with agile project teams throughout the product development process.
• Ensure on-time delivery of firmware that meets all test requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of test development processes.
• Develop and enhance reusable test automation frameworks.

• Experience in embedded software development, including microcontroller familiarity and basic C programming.
• Proficiency in Python for script automation.
• Experience with Matlab, LabVIEW, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
• Ability to write and execute automated functional tests for embedded software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience within an embedded software development environment.
• Recent experience in using Python to write test cases for software development projects.
• Experience in converting manual test cases to automated ones.
