Job description
We are seeking an API Technical Analyst to join our Enterprise API Management team supporting a high-profile financial services engagement. This role requires hands-on API analysis, quality assurance, and integration delivery using MuleSoft, Postman, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate thrives under competing priorities and delivers consistently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment., * Analyze, design, develop, and maintain enterprise APIs on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4, CloudHub).
- Perform contract-first API design (RAML/OAS), dependency mapping, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Execute SQA activities: functional, regression, and integration testing of API endpoints and data flows.
- Build and maintain Postman test suites with automated collections, environment configs, and Newman CI/CD execution.
- Manage work items, stories, bugs, and sprints in Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines).
- Triage production incidents, resolve API performance issues, and support governance and security policies.
- Collaborate with BAs, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable API solutions.
Requirements
- MuleSoft Anypoint Platform - API design, development, deployment, and API Manager.
- API Analysis - contract-first design, RAML/OAS, consumer impact analysis, dependency mapping.
- SQA - test planning, test case design, defect management, automated regression testing.
- Postman - advanced collections, scripting, mock servers, Newman CLI integration.
- Azure DevOps - work tracking, Git repos, YAML CI/CD pipelines, sprint reporting.
- RESTful design principles, OAuth 2.0 / JWT / mTLS, DataWeave, SQL fundamentals., * Bachelor's in CS/IT or equivalent experience; 10+ years in API development and enterprise integration.
- 3+ years hands-on MuleSoft experience; 2+ years with Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
- Experience in federal financial services or similarly regulated environments.
- Preferred: MuleSoft Certified Developer/Architect, SAFe/Agile background, compliance frameworks such as FFIEC, PCI-DSS, * Excels under pressure with competing priorities; proactive communicator who surfaces risks and blockers early.
- Self-organizing, resilient, solutions-oriented; comfortable with ambiguity and evolving team dynamics.
- Mandatory project-specific orientation and certification required upon ECP approval before joining delivery workstreams.
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: 50-70/hr on w2. This is the targeted compensation range for this role. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
