Job description
seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Project Manager to support the 787 Airplane Level Integration (ALIT) team in North Charleston, SC. This role focuses on leading cross-functional engineering efforts, ensuring alignment across development, production, certification, and fleet support activities., * Develop and manage integrated project plans to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
- Analyze schedules, identify risks, and implement recovery plans
- Lead cross-functional coordination across engineering, production, and support teams
- Manage change control processes and ensure adherence to engineering standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and communicate project status effectively
- Facilitate Agile practices including backlog management, sprint planning, and release tracking using Jira
- Mentor and coach engineering and technical teams to promote continuous improvement
- Drive process improvements and ensure successful project closeout with proper documentation
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring strong Agile project management expertise, proficiency in Jira, and a collaborative, servant-leadership approach to drive engineering excellence, safety, and program success., * Strong experience with Agile project management at scale
- Proficiency in Jira (backlog management, sprint planning, reporting)
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering projects
- Expertise in schedule management, risk assessment, and change management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support technical teams, * Experience in aerospace or commercial aircraft programs (preferably 787)
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or SAFe Agilist
- Familiarity with tools like Confluence, MS Project, or Primavera
- Experience with enterprise engineering processes and system integration
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination)
- Must meet U.S. export compliance requirements
- Previous Aerospace experience preferred
