Job description
One of our top clients in Fort Collins, CO is looking for an Image Quality Test Technician / Hardware Technician to join their team! This individual will set up camera test stations and test camera image quality. We are looking for an engineering technician with a strong knowledge of schematics, building and wiring prototypes, and opto-mechanical prototyping to set up camera test stations. This individual will also be responsible for running test procedures, data analysis, documenting the results, and communicating the results. This is a very hands-on role in which you spend 50/50 working with software and hardware., * Assist with camera module testing
- Sort camera modules based on test data
- Provide camera modules to various internal groups based on test data
- Assist with image quality benchmarking
- Assist with implementing subjective image quality evaluation
- Maintain organization of camera module test data, weekly image quality updates, and software updates
- Assist with maintaining lab infrastructure.
- Install new equipment as needed
- Keeping the lab in operation
- Image quality target calibration
- Assisting with equipment repair as needed and sending out equipment for calibration
- Build hardware lab prototypes using schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Troubleshoot hardware prototypes through adding/modifying software coding and applying hardware debugging best practices
- Apply basic image quality test methods, construct camera lab set ups, and modify camera settings to optimize tests.
- Provide camera modules to various internal groups based on test data
- Duties also include installing new equipment for image quality evaluation
- Put together test reports from internally gathered lab data and supplier provided tests data
Requirements
- Prior Hardware Technician role or entry level coding experience and hardware troubleshooting knowledge
- Ability to understand basic image quality test methods, lab set up, and camera operation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Ability to write test reports and good communication skills required
- Ability to read schematics and wire circuits
- Associates degree in Hardware, Software, or Computer Science focused discipline.
