Job description

This is an exempt, full-time salaried position based in Cupertino, CA. As a Software Development Engineer, you will design, build, and ship software across VITURE's XR+AI product ecosystem - from companion apps to on-device systems. You will collaborate with product managers, hardware engineers, firmware teams, and designers to deliver features that reach hundreds of thousands of users worldwide, from concept through production., * Design, develop, and maintain software across mobile, desktop, and ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience.

  • Lead end-to-end feature development: architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Translate product requirements and user insights into robust, scalable, and innovative technical solutions.
  • Build and optimize features such as real-time rendering, head tracking, multi-screen support, and spatial computing experiences.
  • Develop and maintain fullstack systems, including frontend interfaces (web or mobile) and backend services (APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure), to deliver cohesive end-to-end product experiences.
  • Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and design teams to ensure tight integration between software and device capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with software engineering best practices and emerging spatial computing technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to fostering a culture of engineering excellence as needed.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE) to build the software that powers intelligent eyewear. You'll design and develop high-performance, user-facing software that bridges hardware, firmware, AI, and immersive experiences. If you're passionate about shipping great products and pushing what's possible in AI and spatial computing, we'd love to hear from you., * Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience with a demonstrated track record of exceptional work.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably with experience in consumer electronics, AR/VR, mobile, or embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in state-of-the-art AI/ML technologies, including large language models, multimodal AI, and on-device inference frameworks.
  • Strong portfolio or track record of shipped products demonstrating expertise in system design and software craftsmanship.
  • Proficiency in Go, C++, Java, Python or experience with mobile development (iOS/Android) or embedded platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, real-time systems, or graphics/rendering pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Previous work on wearable or head-mounted display products.
  • Experience integrating with partner ecosystems (gaming consoles, streaming platforms).
  • Personal project experience is a strong plus - we love seeing what you build for fun. Share your side projects, open-source contributions, or passion builds with us.
  • Product-minded with a refined aesthetic sensibility and high standards for craft - you care deeply about the quality and polish of what you ship, not just whether it works., This role requires the ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.

Benefits & conditions

  • Define and build the next-generation AI glasses platform - a front-row seat to shaping how people interact with wearable intelligence
  • An AI Native working environment - AI is deeply integrated into our workflows, tools, and product development, so you work alongside cutting-edge AI every day, not just build it
  • A sharp, full-stack team that thinks from first principles and ships with speed
  • Competitive compensation package including base salary ($140K-$200K), discretionary bonus, and equity - with total compensation determined by candidate level, experience, and qualifications. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match.
  • Flexible schedule, PTO, sick leave, and parental leave
  • Collaborative, inclusive, engineering-driven culture
