Job description

This role is responsible for the building and ongoing delivery of SitusAMC's enterprise data centralization and automation strategy, primarily in support of reporting and business intelligence, as well as technical operational support. The position builds the processes involved in data engineering and may mentor staff. They build the technology to disperse critical information and insights to the organization and clients. Working closely with business leaders, vendors and client service managers, the position captures business requirements, creates and administers ETL processes enhancements, and reviews others to ensure a quality product. This role will have robust and demonstratable experience expanding and building a global Information Technology-based data engineering, preferably in the residential or commercial real estate industry. This role may build and mentor other data engineers to push and extract data into operational systems, and data lakes, expanding the availability of data and information throughout the organization. They will partner closely with other Data, Reporting, and Analytics teams to insure the efficient, accurate and expedient movement of information and files.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with business and technology team members to expand the data engineering platform.

  • Follow the software development lifecycle of the data engineering platform.

  • Build data extraction, transformation, and load processes from a variety of sources.

  • Follow data governance best practices.

  • Develop and monitor data orchestration tools and processes, providing automation to the organization.

  • Develop the file delivery and quality control of incoming data and imaging files using appropriate tools. Work with providers and internal business partners to set up and document new sources, validate and fix existing sources, and ensure the timely delivery of information and files.

  • Mentor, review, improve and ensure junior staff quality of work

  • Prompt and regular attendance is required

  • Other activities as may be assigned by your manager

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of data engineering preferred, with 1+ years in a mentorship role

  • Expertise building t-SQL statement, preferably in MSSQL

  • Expertise in SSIS is required

  • 2+ years of residential or commercial real estate required

  • Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC

  • Highly Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong time management and communication skills (written and oral)

  • Strong analytical ability, good judgment; strategic and multidimensional thinker

  • Detail oriented, organized; prompt and regular attendance is required

  • Continuous learner; excitement in personal growth and development

  • Strong commitment and dedication to the position and a Team Player

Benefits & conditions

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$100,000.00 - $125,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.
