Job description

The ERI sector is at the forefront of innovation, sustainability, and global economic change. As a Director, you will be at the heart of this evolution, guiding our clients through a diverse range of transformation projects. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that new initiatives, whether they are large-scale technology deployments (such as SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce), AI adoption, launching new business models, the integration following mergers and acquisitions, or strategic drives for cost reduction and innovation, are embraced and embedded successfully.

Deloitte drives progress. Using our vast range of expertise, we help our clients become leaders wherever they choose to compete. To do this, we invest in outstanding people. We build teams of future thinkers, with diverse talents and backgrounds, and empower them all to reach for and achieve more.

This role offers a unique blend of leadership, client delivery, and business growth. You will be responsible for:

Client Delivery, Advisory & Leadership:

  • Lead strategic transformations for Energy, Resources and Industrial Products clients, guiding them through complex technology-enabled change, evolving operating models, regulatory and commercial shifts, and emerging market trends (e.g., digital innovation, M&A). Drive the realisation of benefits by championing innovative change management strategies that foster exceptional employee and customer experiences and accelerate the adoption of new ways of working across the Energy, Resources and Industrial Products value chain.
  • Provide strategic counsel to Energy, Resources and Industrial Products clients, addressing their most complex challenges related to market disruption, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Leverage deep industry knowledge and cutting-edge technology solutions to develop and implement innovative, data-driven recommendations that deliver tangible business outcomes.
  • Lead, drive and oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, technology-enabled change programmes within the Energy, Resources and Industrial Products sector. This includes strategic planning, robust risk management, and cultivating executive-level client and stakeholder relationships. You will lead, mentor, and empower diverse project teams to achieve successful outcomes and exceed client expectations.

Business Development & Growth:

  • Drive business development by cultivating and expanding executive-level client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and leading the development of compelling new proposals. Play a pivotal role in shaping industry and account strategies, contributing to the growth of our Energy, Resources and Industrial Products practice.
  • Collaborate extensively with a range of stakeholders, both internally within Deloitte, across strategic alliances (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, digital adoption platforms) and forums, and within client organisations, fostering strong partnerships and driving collective success.
  • Shape the future of our practice by leading internal initiatives in proposition development, methodology enhancement, and thought leadership. Actively contribute to knowledge capture and sharing, elevating our capabilities and market presence in technology-enabled change for the Energy, Resources and Industrial Products sector.

Innovation & Future Shaping:

  • Innovating Methodologies: Contribute to the continuous innovation of our change management methodologies and AI-enabled tools, helping to incubate and scale cutting-edge approaches across the practice.
  • Thought Leadership: Help capture and share knowledge, strengthening our capabilities and market presence in technology-enabled change for the ERI sector.

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated individual who is eager to grow and develop, bringing a blend of industry insight, change management expertise, and a passion to be a leader in our business. Your experience should demonstrate:

  • Leading and directing diverse, large-scale transformation programmes, leveraging both traditional and agile methodologies. This encompasses a broad view of transformation, including technology enablement (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, digital adoption platforms), operating model redesign, regulatory compliance, and strategic responses to evolving Energy, Resources and Industrial Products industry trends (e.g., digital innovation, customer engagement, operational excellence).

  • Guiding organisations through significant change, expertly planning and delivering change initiatives to activate business transformation with a deep understanding of market nuances and the ability to activate change at pace.

  • Building, nurturing, and leveraging strategic client and stakeholder relationships at senior levels within organisations, fostering trust and collaborative partnerships essential for successful technology adoption and change.

  • Leading and orchestrating multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced project environments, showing personal resilience and strategic oversight, and the capacity to drive complex technology-enabled initiatives to successful completion.

  • Experience in leading functional transformation projects, particularly within operations, supply chain, commercialisation, finance, or HR, ideally within the Energy, Resources and Industrial Products sector.

  • An innovative mindset combined with a keen interest in current thinking around transformation, change management, and disruptive technologies and business models that are shaping the Energy, Resources and Industrial Products landscape (e.g., AI in operational optimisation, digital twins, advanced manufacturing).
