Job description

Stillwater is seeking Network Operations Specialists to provide cybersecurity, network management, and risk management framework (RMF) support for the Mission Training Complex (MTC) at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Information Assurance (IA), vulnerability management, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity directives while ensuring secure and reliable network operations in support of training missions., * Assist the customer Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with all efforts in support of RiskManagement Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity compliance.

  • Coordinate with outside agencies and other MTC sites to support secure operations.
  • Provide updates to the ISSO on cybersecurity posture and ensure operational security is documented and maintained.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with DoD 8140, AR 25-2, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-39, and guidance from other cyber authorities.
  • Produce required artifacts, trackers, and documentation to meet Security Control Assessment - Validation (SCA-V) requirements for maintaining ATO (Authority to Operate).
  • Maintain and update cybersecurity records and artifacts within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans of training enclaves; apply and document STIGs and security patches in collaboration with system administrators and network administrators.
  • Respond to vulnerabilities identified during audits, inspections, and risk assessments by updating STIGs and records.
  • Perform or supervise continuous monitoring of applied STIGs and patches.
  • Support exercise operations by creating and establishing communications architecture, configuring equipment, implementing cybersecurity processes, and assisting with installation of equipment and circuits.

Requirements

  • Required: Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) certification
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards and RMF processes.
  • Experience with eMASS, STIG compliance, and vulnerability management preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Army or DoD network security practices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Education & Certifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Current IAT Level II certification.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an active SECRET clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to security clearance eligibility.
  • Travel may be required in support of training or mission requirements.
