Job description

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated .NET Full Stack Developer to support our client in Richmond, VA in the public sector, enhancing the delivery through innovative technology solutions. This position has the exciting opportunity to support the transition of legacy mainframe systems to a modern .NET-based technology stack, driving impactful improvements for customers, employees, and business partners. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria, * Develop and maintain support systems from user requests through implementation and post-implementation review

  • Assist with research, integration, development, and implementation of new tools, technologies, and methods
  • Focus on transitioning legacy systems from mainframe to .NET-based technology stack
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and compliance with business objectives
  • Document code and processes through technical writing and diagrams
  • Participate in on-site, in-person interviews and work full-time onsite initially, with limited telework options available after a certain period

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on .NET development experience, with current working experience in VB.NET and/or C#
  • Current working experience in UI/UX design using Angular
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and software lifecycle processes, including user acceptance testing (UAT) protocols
  • Experience in full-stack development, including front-end and back-end system integrations
  • Proficiency with web development and performance testing tools such as Postman, Node.js, Node Package Manager, and Visual Studio Code
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience documenting code and processes via technical writing and diagrams

Desired:

  • Experience in system integration, technical troubleshooting, and creating scalable solutions
  • Experience mentoring and guiding team members, fostering knowledge sharing, and enhancing technical skills within the team
  • Knowledge of secure application development practices, including familiarity with DMV security policies
