Job description

Partnered with our financial services client and they're looking for an Automation Analyst to support our Financial Core Services, with a strong focus on enterprise job scheduling and data transmission automation. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, secure, and uninterrupted processing across core and integrated systems.

What You'll Do

  • Own and maintain enterprise workload automation platforms (primarily SMA OpCon) across production and non-prod environments
  • Design and support complex batch schedules, job dependencies, calendars, and exception handling for core financial processing
  • Monitor system health, job execution, agents, and performance to ensure high availability and SLA compliance
  • Provide Tier 2 support for automation incidents, troubleshooting failed jobs, integrations, and outages
  • Automate manual workflows using scripting and automation tools; manage file transfers (SFTP) and third-party data exchanges
  • Partner with Core Systems teams to support platform upgrades, documentation, and operational readiness
  • Manage access, roles, and security within automation platforms using Active Directory

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years hands-on experience with enterprise batch scheduling/workload automation tools (SMA OpCon strongly preferred)
  • 4+ years supporting financial core systems (e.g., JHA Episys) including lights-out processing and job orchestration
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) and experience automating operational workflows
  • Experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and backend system operations
  • Solid understanding of file movement, data integrity, and security practices in regulated environments
  • This role requires precision, accountability, and a high level of diligence when handling sensitive financial data.
